Mummy is loving the fact, that Txomin and Arthur are loathing lavender. Everything she has ever planted in their habitat, is eaten straight away. So far, grass and weeds that pop up by themselves, are the only things that make it, until the boys get the munchies and decide to snack on those as well. Therefore, the fact that they don’t like lavender, means that the bush is absolutely flourishing and looking gorgeous. In fact, there are two bushes (ok, one is quite small and perhaps should still be classed as a plant, but the other is very big and needs cutting back every week to ensure it doesn’t take up their whole house) and as well as providing shade, they are bringing what mummy believes to be the same honeybee every day (not an expert on bees, she did a lot of googling and looking at pictures to determine which type of bee it is…).
Mummy is absolutely fascinated watching the bee visit the flowers on the lavender plant and collect nectar and pollen, in fact, the boys are sulking as she seems to pay more attention to the bee, than to them! As she only ever sees one, she thinks it is the same one, coming to get its daily fill and buzz around the boy’s house. She enjoys its visits and feels both happy and lucky that it comes to visit her terrace in Montgat, wondering where it’s coming from and where it goes afterwards. Hooray that Txomin and Arthur don’t like lavender, as really, they are not very fussy eaters and eat practically everything. Mummy, loving husband and lovely daughter could take a leaf out of their books!
