House Move and Home Number Three

Ten months after joining the family, the tortoises were faced with another move. Mummy, loving husband and excited daughter, were moving house. This meant pulling down house number two and rebuilding it in the roof terrace of the new apartment.

The new house didn’t have the same shape terrace and loving husband had vetoed mummy’s initial large space she had allocated for the house. She got her own back however, when it came to allocating space for his bicycle shed.

From the outset, mummy was not that happy that using the wood from the previous house and the space available, the new house would be smaller and square in shape. Her happy tortoises would not be happy with the change she claimed and required more space. Her ingenious idea this time, a door from their house that would allow them to freely roam the 90m² terrace. Begrudgingly, loving husband agreed and even made the door complete with hinges and bolt for closing. Mummy later added a silver name plaque, though she didn’t tell loving husband how much it cost.

Hooray, mummy was now happy - Txomin and Arthur could come and go as they please and had all the space they could wish for.
